ÁRBOL MILENARIO   (Tinta china y témpera sobre pergamino – 60 x 42 cm   2017)

Un tronco seco, viejísimo y retorcido destaca solitario en medio de ninguna parte. Es un sobreviviente que se niega a morir. A pesar de ser milenario y carecer prácticamente de savia alguna, aún encuentra fuerzas para enviar por sus arterias leñosas un último aliento de vida que hace brotar tímida pero enérgicamente frágiles y delgadas ramas. Todo un ejemplo de supervivencia y rebeldía contra el inexorable e irrefrenable destino.

ANCIENT TREE   (Chinese ink and tempera on parchment – 60 x 42 cm   2017)

A dry, very old, twisted trunk stands alone in the middle of nowhere. A survivor who refuses to die. Despite being ancient and practically lacking any sap, nonetheless it finds the strength to push through its woody arteries a last breath of life that timidly but energetically causes thin and fragile branches to sprout. An example of survival and rebellion against the inexorable and unstoppable destiny.
