CARDO BORRIQUERO (Acrílico / lienzo – 73 x 92 cm   2013)

El entorno sugiere la amenaza de la canícula. Bichillos que se adivinan zumbando, rastrojera; solo unos cardos pequeños resisten. Pero este cardo borriquero sobresalía erguido, incluso también desafiante. Solo. Llega a aparecer como una forma antropoide. La tristeza que había inspirado inicialmente su soledad se convierte en admiración.

The background suggests the menace of midsummer heat. Insects that you can see by their buzzing, the stubble; only a few small thistles can resist. But this Cotton Thistle stands upright, almost defiant. Alone. It seems to take an anthropmorhic form. The sadness inspired at first by its loneliness changes into admiration.
